Ah, I don't yet know how long will they last. I have tried these a few times before, sometimes with success, sometimes failing. But if things go well, they should stay all good until the next spring - and probably they'll be consumed before that =)
Here I tried different methods of preserving; the jars which are upside down contain vinegar and sugar. Except one, which has sodium benzoate. And the rest have a lively population of lactic acid bacteria. All of the jars are to be stored in a cool dry place.

How do you keep them? How long do they last for? ;) Just wondering. My grandfather used to do lots of jars like these.
