Here the mosquito situation depends on the weather conditions. Enough rain and moisture makes them thrive, long hot and dry periods can lead to a dramatic reduce of the mosquito population. I don't know what exactly affects it this year, but the mosquitoes are very few. In the morning I can comfortably sit outdoors drinking the coffee wearing just a bathrobe. At the moment of writing this it is after the sunset, and as I walked around the yard I noticed only one or two mosquitoes. But there have been summers when it gets somewhat uneasy to stay outdoors in late evening because the mosquitoes seem to be most active at that time, especially when it is calm winds.

In my early years of living here I remember a summer when there were so many mosquitoes indoors that it was difficult to sleep comfortably, and I had to try different ways to repel them. Burning incense was one of the best reliefs, for they don't like smoke. I think at that time the house still had some small holes in the walls. After installing new siding the situation has been easier.

But, also - this is my experience. Since childhood I have deliberately tried to adopt ignoring as my main method of coping with mosquitoes, and it seems to work to some extent =) I mean, if I say that there aren't any noticeable amount of mosquitoes indoors in my house, for someone else it might feel different, if they find two or three mosquitoes disturbing their sense of comfort.
