Caught with the fish trap I assembled two days ago. It seems that the pike spawning season is about to begin. These two were young males. The bigger one I cut to fillets and put into freezer. And the smaller one is going to be today's main meal, smoked with alder wood chips and juniper.
You are allowed to fish? In our country it is prohibited without a fishing license.
Or it's your pond?
In Finland we also have kind of a license system, but it is nothing more than just a small payment per year. The state collects the money and allocates it to maintaining fish populations etc.
