Pumpkin time

The Sun is about to set, the sky is clear and the air is crisp. Smells like the night-time temperature is going to drop below freezing. Time to harvest the pumpkins. Ah, and there were also some zucchini still hiding in the foliage.

Those are some nice pumpkins!

Hehe, and there is more of them than I can eat, so I will be giving away some to my friends.

Cool! You could make lots of pumpkin sweet and soup and freeze - if you were in Brazil thats what we do.
I closer to you a few weeks ago, in Iceland and then Berlin. LOVED Iceland. That nature, OMG, now everything makes sense. ;)

Aaah,
"We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow." sings Led Zeppelin in their Iceland-inspired song =)

I've never been to Iceland, but I've heard a lot of people tell they loved it. And why not - the country sounds unique and amazing.

Nature is amazing, free and beautiful food, nice harvest :)
PS: here we freeze pumpkins too, we slice in cubes and freeze inside a recipient for all year. But fresh has better taste, and sharing with friends is more fun :)

Yup yup - I think after giving away some pumpkins to friends, I still will have plenty to freeze for myself. Usually I freeze both raw cubes and ready-made pumpkin stew or soup.
