Now did I mention this? Last autum, in addition to harvesting storm-felled trees from a neighbours forest, I also worked in another patch of forest owned by yet another neighbour. That patch of forest grows birch, and it was so dense that many of the trees needed to be felled so that the remaining birches have enough light and space to grow. The land owner gave me all the timber for the work I did. Today a worker from a nearby farm transported the timber onto my yard. Well, I'd guess it will take a while until all of these are chopped into firewood... But, sure, I'll have enough firewood for several years to come =)
