The temperature has been above freezing for a few days. I've been monitoring the culvert situation. This is the view from the upstream side of the brook, and it looks rather promising. Snow and ice are thawing very slowly, not creating an instant flood of liquid water. And I think both culverts have at least a small hole in the ice, so that water can pass through. I hope the flowing water will carve the ice, so that once there is more water in the brook it will have enough space to pass through the culverts.
