Today I planted an oak sapling. A small thing to do, but behind this there seems to be a bigger shift in my thoughts, plans and feelings. I've decided that if I ever will have horses again, I first need to acquire more land. For having horses but not having enough land for summer pasture is not something I'd love to do again. So, this gives me a feeling that I'd better have other plans for my yard, re-thinking all the space which has been pasture. I'm dreaming of flowering and fruit-bearing trees, and raspberry bushes, and a lot of flowers, and more space for growing vegetables.
