It was 15 minutes to midnight, and I had not taken a single picture today. Well, I thought to myself that since I was anyway going to warm up drinking water for the horses, so maybe I could take a picture of the fire under the water container. I took some pictures, and one of them happened to catch a moment when a gust of wind fanned the flames all wild. I spent more time just watching the fire - together with wind it is very much like a living creature; one moment it retreats to simmering red glow with barely visible thin flame, then it grows to a steady bright burning fire, and suddenly it grows tall and dances throwing sparks around, and then retreats again. I took more pictures. And this is how the picture of the day works; it facilitates creativity and attention, it helps me to spend more time just observing the beauty - and it serves as a nice channel to share these small personal experiences in a meaningful way with other people out there. Hehe, so thanks for being there =)
