I've slowly been improving on growing carrots. Some earlier years my carrots often ended up drowned in weeds. This year the situation is almost the opposite; I've kept up a timely pace with removing the weeds, but the carrots themselves have become a dense thicket. So, next I need to remove / relocate many of the carrots so that the remaining ones have enough space and nutrients to grow. Also, seems like some seeds of the common marigold survived the winter, and now I have surprise flowers growing next to the carrots. But that is the way I like my gardening, kind of a combination of wild and controlled vegetation =)
