+6°C : this was the indoor temperature today around 7pm when I returned home after a long day of work. For reasons which escape me, one of the cats had decided to open the door to the entrance hall - and I haven't yet seen a cat who can also close doors, so the door was open when I came home. The outdoor temperatures have been below -20°C, and the entrance hall temperature has been falling down to almost 0°C. The open door had allowed the warm air from the living room to escape into the hall... Oh well. I closed the door, started a fire in the stove, and wore some more clothes =) At the moment of posting this, the indoor temperature is +13°C, which is okay.

"and I haven't yet seen a cat who can also close doors" - this part made me laugh hard, made me remeber my two cats too :)
In the fraser valley here on the west coast of Canada it has been the first real winter in maybe 30 years. There has been snow on the ground for over a month and I love it. The winter is about to end sadly. Enjoy yours while it lasts!
Cats only serve themselves... not their "masters" hehe
Yeah, for a past few decades our winter have been unreliable, too. When I was a kid, at this time of the year it always was at least knee-deep of snow and temperatures around -15°C. Now it is less than inch of snow, and today the temperature is like -2°C. This is, of course, better than rainfall with temperatures above freezing - we have also had such winters.
I'm definitely a winter person, and even though indoors temperature below +10°C isn't actually anything like a pleasant experience, on the broader scale it makes me happy to think that one day it will be spring and then it will warm summer temperatures. It is this cycle I love, each season coming with its own special charisma =)
Yeah, I've seen a cat who jumped against the door, grabbing the door handle with his paws, and repeating the procedure until he managed to open the door. But he never bothered to close the door, although that is physically a rather simple action of merely pushing the door. Sure, cat intelligence and ability is enough to enable them to close doors, but maybe it is just that they don't care =)
It suits their needs to have it open. I think for cats, it doesn't make sense to close a door haha. They don't care if it gets cold. They will just find a human lap to sit on, or an old TV.
BTW, I am laughing a lot watching you drink jack daniels on your roof while dancing acid folk to Devilwood lmao. Thanks for sharing their music, I supported them also. Good stuff!
Devilwood rocks =) I think they are going to release a new album sometime soon - looking forward to it.
